HAMBLE UNITED U14's

I had the pleasure of helping out with the U14's today in a local derby with Itchen Bulldogs.  The lads had worked hard in training over the last couple of weeks and with a couple of new signings things are beginning to look up.  I would like to thank Mark Watts for not saying no after his wife Debbie volunteered him to help pitch side John will be grateful for the support.

This was a much better performance today, we made a couple of changes with James White moving out to right back and Sam Wellstead stepping in at Centre back.  We looked better all over the park.  It was nice to have Liam back at left back but everyone of the lads today played with more composure and determination than I have seen in the last two seasons.  Itchen took an early lead only for us to equalise and that's the way it went all the why to the end, in the dying minutes of the game and with less than 2 minutes to play Itchen scored again to give them the win.  To be honest a draw would have been a fair result but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Nobodies head dropped today and everyone of you battled to the end.  In places we played some excellent football which is encouraging, we have another signing able to play next week which will give us even more options to change the game and with a further two more to come things are look good.

Final Score: Hamble United 4, Itchen Bulldogs 5

Hamble Goal scorers: Jack Simmons 2, Macaully Westerman 2

MOM: One player stood out amongst a number of good performances today,  Liam Carter great game mate well done.
